Introduction
The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies has created a new set of legal and regulatory challenges that extend beyond the borders of any single nation. As AI systems become more advanced and widespread, they raise thorny issues related to privacy, liability, intellectual property, the reshaping of markets, content moderation, the future of the legal pro-fession, and the exchange of data across jurisdictions. In a globalized digital economy, the regulatory decisions made by one nation can have significant external and spillover effects on others, underscoring the need to examine AI governance through a transnational and comparative lens. By studying the legal, social, and political factors shaping AI regulation in different parts of the world, we can gain valuable insights into the global regulatory terrain and work towards the development of more effective and interoperable frameworks for respon-sible AI innovation and governance.
